Free Meals for Sioux City Kids during the COVID-19 Outbreak

A friend took a pic of one of the meals before her kids ate it so people can see what they look like! The specific options may be different each day, but all should include kid-friendly foods including fresh fruits and vegetables!

The Sioux City Public Schools are offering free food for kids 1-18 while the schools are closed! Here's how families with kids can take part in the program, plus scroll to the bottom to see restaurant deals for Siouxland kids:

Any family in Sioux City can come to any of the below locations to get food for each child in their family ages 1-18. Families are encouraged to leave space in line between themselves and other families, and to take the meals to eat at home. No ID or paperwork required. Each child can take home a sack meal with breakfast and lunch, and drinks for both meals, at the following locations:

  • Bryant Elementary School at 3040 Jones St. serving 10:45-11:15
  • Irving Dual Language Elementary School at 901 Floyd Blvd. serving 11:30-12:00.
  • East Middle School at 5401 Lorraine Ave. serving 10:45-11:15.
  • Loess Hills Elementary School at 1717 Cassleman St. serving 10:45-11:15.
  • West High School at 2001 Cassleman St. serving 11:30-12:00
  • West Middle School at 3301 W. 19th serving 10:45-11:15
  • Riverside Elementary School at 2303 Riverside Blvd. serving 11:30-12:00.
  • Liberty Elementary School at 1623 Rebecca St. serving 10:45-11:15.
  • Hunt @ A+ Arts Elementary School at 1114 W. 27th serving 11:30-12:00

  • Burger King has announced they will give families up to 2 free kids' meals with purchase of an adult meal during the COVID-19 pandemic.
