Birthday Freebies & Discounts around Sioux City


It's my birthday! To celebrate, I'm sharing with you this list of birthday freebies and deals you can score from restaurants and stores in the Sioux City area.

As far as I can tell these are all in effect as of September 2018, but always read the rules and terms from whoever is offering them, as they could change. Some stores keep their promotions the same for years and years (like Starbucks) while others change them frequently (like Sephora--usually a makeup sample of some sort). For all of them, you have to be signed up for their rewards program and/or e-mail list, which will mean you get marketing and other e-mails from them throughout the year as well, so keep that in mind when deciding which ones are worth signing up for. I recommend signing up at least 2 months in advance, as some automatically send the birthday reward e-mail a few days in advance, or at the beginning of your birthday month, and if you aren't on the list before the auto-send date, you usually won't get a birthday reward that year. Many of them also offer a sign-up treat, so it's fun to get that on a different day too!

  • Arby's: free milkshake with any purchase if you sign up for their Deals E-mails
  • Auntie Anne Pretzels: free pretzel through the Pretzel Perks App
  • Barnes & Noble: free cupcake or cookie from their café area for Kids Club Members
  • Buffalo Wild Wings: dessert for members of the Buffalo Circle*
  • Caribou Coffee; birthday treat for Perks members
  • Chick-fil-A: Free entrée for Chick-fil-A-One Members
  • Chuck-E-Cheese: free tokens and coupons for kids on their birthday 
  • Cinnabon: birthday treat for Club Cinnabon members
  • Culver's: Free Concrete Mixer with purchase of Value Basket for e-club members
  • Dairy Queen: Buy-one-get-one-free Blizzard coupon for Blizzard Fan Club Members
  • Hard Rock: birthday treat for Rewards club members
  • ihop: birthday meal for Pancake Revolution members
  • Main Street Theatres (Promenade): free small popcorn and pop for Rewards members
  • Michael's Crafts: 50% off one item coupon for Rewards Members
  • Olive Garden: free appetizer or dessert for e-club members
  • Panda Express: "birthday offer" (probably a coupon) for e-mail list members*
  • Panera: free pastry for MyPanera members
  • Perkins: free slice of pie for Perkins Perks members*
  • Pizza Ranch: $5 Birthday reward for Ranch Rewards Club Members
  • Redbox: Free movie rental for PlayPass members
  • Red Robin: Free Birthday Burger for Red Robin Royalty
  • Scooter's: birthday treat for Rewards members
  • Sephora: birthday treat for Beauty Insiders
  • Sonic: birthday treat for MySonic rewards members
  • Starbucks: Free birthday drink for Starbucks Rewards Members
  • Subway: Free sandwich for Eat Fresh Club Members
  • Texas Roadhouse: birthday treat for e-club members*
  • Ulta Beauty: birthday treat for Ultamate Rewards members
Deals with a * are based on information from sources I trust, but aren't confirmed by the restaurant or store website to still be valid. Many of them are vague about what specific offers are available to rewards members, usually because they want the freedom to change their birthday promotion without updating their websites every time, but do have birthday deals!
