Summer Day Camps for Kids in Sioux City and Siouxland

Ready to plan your summer fun? Here are all the summer day camp opportunities I have found in the Sioux City area for this year, in alphabetical order. I'll put the basic info here and link to the host's website or Facebook page where you can find more details.

This page will be updated throughout spring and summer 2026 as new day camps in the Sioux City area are announced, but I also encourage you to contact your favorite camp organizers directly for the most up-to-date information.

Summer Camps in Sioux City, Iowa

Camp High Hopes

Camp High Hopes offers all-day camp for all ages and abilities, 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. This inclusive camp is welcoming of kids with special needs and has high staff to camper ratios

 and adaptive equipment on camp to let everyone participate in lots of classic summer camp activities like crafts, canoeing, campfires and swimming! Sleep-away camp sessions also available.

Contemporary Dance Studio

Contemporary Dance Studio is offering 2026 summer sessions for ballet and tap dance for 3- to 7-year-olds and acro dance for 4- to 7-year-olds from July 7th through 29th. Summer sessions are $55 per dancer. They are also holding a summer camp for dancers 8 to 18 from July 13th through 17th. Camp cost is $225 per dancer.

Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center

Woodbury County Conservation offers a variety of science and nature-based summer camp options with the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center as their home base. Their 2026 camp registration opened April 7th, 2026, and has age-based options for kids 3 through 12 with fun themes like "Wonder Bugs," "Art in Nature," and "Happy Hikers." 

Costs vary, but the ones I clicked on looked like they are just under $30 per day (full details on their website)

Evolve Yoga

Evolve Yoga and Wellness and Lumin Therapy have offered summer yoga camps for elementary-school-age kids and one for tweens and teens in past years, but 2026 camp information is not et available.

Iowa State Extension

Woodbury's county's Iowa State extension office (think 4-H! But you don't have to be in 4-H to enjoy these great camps!) offers a wide variety of summer camps with a variety of themes. 2026 camps include:

• Digging Those Dinosaurs
• Budget to Runway Fashion
• Astro Camp
• Babysitting Basics
• Jr. Detectives
• Cooking Skills

And more! 2026 camps vary in length and cost from $25 to 100 and while not every camp is for every age, there's at least one option open to any kid in grades K-9.

LAMB Performing Arts

Lamb Regional Theatre usually offers several summer sessions of LAMB Ewe-university, which include working on theatrical pieces from well-known plays and musicals, as well as indie productions, and sometimes includes a new original piece just for camp! The final showcase is definitely a night to look forward to, for campers and audience alike. 

In 2026, LAMB is hosting camp sessions in June and July with a theme of "Ripple Across America" in honor of America's 250th birthday this summer.

Camp will take place on Mondays through Thursdays, 9am to noon for kids K-12 (based on most recent grade completed, not the grade you're going into!) from June 8th through 25th and July 6th through 23rd. Lamb 2026 camps at time of posting (April 2026) cost $200 per session or $365 for both on the Lamb website.

LaunchPad Children's Museum

LaunchPad Children's Museum usually holds summer camp sessions for kids with lots of STEM learning and fun, with all camps open to kids ages 5 and up. 2026 session information is not yet available.

Mid-American Museum of Aviation & Transportation

The Mid-America Museum of Aviation & Transportation is holding junior pilot camp sessions for middle school and high school students on June 5th and 6th, 2026 for 8th through 12th graders, and on June 12th and 13th for 6th and 7th graders. This two-day camp costs $180 which includes a t-shirt, instruction, and hands-on flight experience. This is truly a unique experience!

Pickled Palette

Pickled Palette hosts fun themed summer art camps, and for 2026 those themes include:

• Paws & Paint

Some Pickled Palette camps are already sold out, so definitely sign up asap once you know you'd like your child to attend! 2026 Pickled Palette summer camps are $195 per artist.

Sioux City Art Center

The Sioux City Art Center is offering a variety of art camp sessions for kids 3-12, where kids explore a variety of artistic mediums like sculpture and drawing. Camp session lengths and costs vary, but all the details are available on their website!

Sioux City Public Museum

The Sioux City Public Museum usually hosts educational summer day camp sessions with a variety of fun and educational themes. 2025 camp details are not yet announced.

Siouxland Sports Academy 

Siouxland Sports Academy offers a huge variety of sports related skills sessions and camps during summer 2026.

V.I.P. Gymnastics

Camp V.I.P. offers tons of fun including crafts, games, and gymnastics and ninja training for kids 3 to 12, from May 26th through August 14th, 2026.

Western Iowa Tech

WIT offers summer camps for 6th through 9th graders including Culinary Camp, STEM camp, and Healthcare Career Exploration Camp.

Summer Camps in North Sioux City, South Dakota

Adams Nature Preserve

Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve holds a variety of nature themed camps for kids.

Summer Camps in South Sioux City, Nebraska 

Summer Day Camp at the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA

The Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA in South Sioux City offers full day summer camps for elementary students from June 2nd through July 26th, 2025, at the Y, Dakota Valley, and Sergeant Bluff. Camp for preschoolers is from May 26th through August 8th, and "Summer Day Out" programs are scheduled in late May and early August. 

Need based scholarships are available. Shirts and snacks are included, as well as academic opportunities in the morning and fun activities and field trips in the afternoon, including swimming, crafts, and much more.

New Stage Players

The New Stage Players usually offer theater camps in June and July at Koffie Knechtion, with both daytime and evening options and performances of full-length kids' stage productions to end each camp. 

2025 camp details are not yet announced.

Dickinson County Conservation

Dickinson County Conservation offers nature themed camps for kids in preschool through 8th grade, plus special themed camps for kids up to 9th grade.  Registration for 2025 camps opens on March 1st for in-person registration and on March 3rd for online registration.

Plymouth County Conservation

Plymouth County Conservation usually offers a variety of nature themed summer day camps for preschoolers through sixth graders, plus an overnight camp for teens who have completed 7th or 8th grade. 2025 camp details are not yet announced.

Sac County Conservation

Sac County Conservation usually holds several fun nature themed summer camps for kids. More 2025 camp details will be in their February newsletter, but they already shared a peek on Facebook, and it looks like they are planning camps from early June to mid August, for kids in preschool through 8th grade.

Sergeant Bluff Parks and Rec

Summer Adventure Camp with Sergeant Bluff Parks and Rec includes lots of crafts and physical activities on site, plus field trips every Friday to places like Miracle Field, the Sgt. Bluff pool, Drop Zone, the Henry Doorly Zoo, and Arnold's Park. 2025 camp information is not yet available.

Sioux County Conservation

Sioux County Conservation usually offers camps in June and July for kids ages 3-15 (each session is for a specific age range) at Oak Grove Park in Hawarden with lots of hikes and hands-on science fun! 2025 camp details are not yet announced, but should open on April 1st.
