Fourth of July falls on a Friday in 2025 and there is lots of patriotic fun happening! If you are wondering where to find patriotic events Fourth of July parades and fireworks in Sioux City, Sioux Falls, Siouxland, and beyond, you're in the right place. I tried to find as many Fourth of July events in our area as I could and combine them all into this post, from small-town parades to big city fireworks shows. I hope it helps you find the perfect Siouxland Fourth of July events for you to attend to make great memories with your family. So, here's where you can catch fireworks and celebrate the USA this year in Sioux City, Sioux Falls, and Siouxland in 2025:

Fourth of July Celebrations in Sioux City
- Sioux City Mardi Gras Parade
- Parade starts at 6pm on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, with a brandnew route along the riverfront, from the Wesley Parkway bridge to the yoga lawn at the east end of Chris Larsen Park!

- FREE to attend
- Saturday in the Park Music Festival
- Will be held Saturday July 5th, 2025, with fireworks after the last concert, about 10pm (but can vary; it's usually close to 10pm but I have been at SITP years when the fireworks were much later, even close to midnight.) This year the headline is Teddy Swims, and you can find out more details on the whole festival in my SITP post.

- Sioux City Municipal Band Concert
- The Sioux City Municipal Band will perform their weekly concert, including some patriotic music, at the Grandview Park Bandshell at 7:30pm on Sunday

- Sioux City Explorers Baseball
- Catch fireworks after the Sioux City Explorers home games on Thursday July 3rd, 2025 and Friday, July 4th, 2025 at Lewis & Clark Park

More Fourth of July Celebrations in Siouxland
- Patriotic Music by the Browns at the Browns Century Theater in LeMars, IA
- This musical family is known primarily for their gospel and contemporary Christian tunes, but every summer they turn their musical talents to patriotic tunes

- Fireworks sponsored by the Correctionville Fire Department usually launched at dusk on 7/4 from Copeland Park
- Bronson, IA Fourth of July celebration
- Lots of fun planned for July 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th including a street dance on the 3rd, plus horseshoe and bags tournaments, mud volleyball, softball, water fights, a parade at 10am on the Fourth, and fireworks that evening at dusk!

- Fourth of July in Onawa, IA
- Fireworks at Lewis and Clark State Park at 10pm by the Onawa Fire Department
- Mapleton, IA Fourth of July celebration
- 2025 events are planned to begin with an opening ceremony at noon on Saturday, June 28th, followed by a community meal.
- Festivities include a a foam party, carnival rides on Friday 6/27 and Saturday 6/28, pony rides, caricatures, food trucks, a kids parade on Saturday at 2:30pm and a community parade at 5pm, plus much more.

- Fourth of July in Le Mars, IA
- Independence Day Parade at 11am in downtown Le Mars
- Community Lunch at noon, Watermelon Feed at 2pm, and Root Beer Floats from 1-5pm at the Plymouth Co Historical Museum
- Municipal Band Concert at Foster Park, free and open to the public, 8pm
- Community fireworks from the Plymouth County Fairgrounds will start at 10pm on 7/4

- Fireworks in Sioux Center, IA
- The Sioux Center fireworks at Mouw Motor and Ver Hoef Automotive are usually on 7/4 at 10pm (I'll update if I can find anything specific to this year!
- KSOU 93.9 will be broadcasting patriotic music during the show
- Vermillion, SD fireworks
- Fireworks will be launched at the field South of Polaris at dark on 7/4/25, about 10pm. Full details on Fireworks in Vermillion SD are available here.
- 3rd on 3rd in Yankton, SD
- Block party planned on Yankton's 3rd Street in the Meridian District on July 3rd, 2025 with food vendors open a 4pm and live music starting at 7pm

- Fireworks at the Meridian
- Usually held on July 4th at 10pm (I'll update as soon as I find an official time and date confirmation for 2025) catch the city of Yankton's official fireworks show over the Missouri River
- Recommended viewing locations are Riverside Park (East of the Meridian Bridge) or The Lawn (West of the Meridian Bridge between 2nd St & Riverside Dr.)

- Battle Creek Fourth of July
- Festivities for the Fourth of July in Battle Creek the week of the Fourth of July include a kickball tournament, a parade, a pageant, foam party, lots of great food, and fireworks at dusk on the 4th of July.

Fourth of July Celebrations in Sioux Falls
- Patriotic KickOff at Falls Park
- On Monday, 6/30/25 start the week off with American history trivia, patriotic crafts for kids, and other family-friendly fun
- American Field Day at Westside Recreation Center
- Tuesday, 7/1/25 with two sessions from 3 to 5pm and 6 to 8pm
- Enjoy a classic American field day with races, ball games, and other community fun
- Fireworks at the W. H. Lyons Fairgrounds
- These FREE Sioux Falls Fireworks are presented by MarketBeat.com and Sunny 99.3 (who will be broadcasting patriotic music!)
- Gates open at 7pm on 7/3/25, and there will be food trucks, a kids zone, and more!
- Musical performance from the Brassholes beginning at 8pm
