Monster X in Siouxland!

Monster truck fans, get ready! Monster X is coming to Siouxland in summer 2020, and you won't want to miss out on the fun! Here's what you need to know if you or your kids want to get in on the action:


Monster X at LaunchPad Children's Museum

LaunchPad Children's Museum is hosting one of the imposing monster trucks from Monster X in the LaunchPad parking lot on Wednesday, July 9th from 2:30 to 4:30pm as LaunchPad hosts a Monster Sale, with $10 in Monster Bucks (redeemable at LaunchPad's Odyssey Gift Shop!) free with new memberships, and a curated selection of fun toys, games, and souvenirs from the Odyssey shop for sale in the parking lot! 

Kids can also make a monstrously cool new t-shirt during the event, using a unique spray dye technique, for $10 per shirt!



Monster X at Park Jefferson Speedway

Monster X will be racing into action in North Sioux City's Park Jefferson Speedway on Saturday, July 11th with two show times, both full of wheelies, races, and car-crushing freestyle fun!
  • 1:30pm, with pit party from noon to 1pm
  • 7:30pm, with pit party from 6 to 7pm

The Ranch KC offers family-friendly KC BBQ in Belton, MO

UPDATE: The Ranch KC closed in spring 2026. I am leaving my review up for now in case people are still curious about what it was like. You can check out more of my KC faves here. On a recent trip to Kansas City, I had the opportunity to visit a new restaurant, The Ranch KC, and I was so impressed I wanted to share about it with all of you! My former hometown of Kansas City is one of my favorite travel destinations, not just because I love seeing my family and friends there, but also because there are great places to play, shop, eat, and explore. And The Ranch KC is definitely going on my list of great little places to eat in the KC area for future trips too! The Ranch KC is at its heart a barbeque restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and lots of kid-friendly options, so I definitely recommend it as a great way to get some KC BBQ, especially if you're visiting the area with kids.  Where is The Ranch KC?
