Siouxland Splash Water Park Coming 2025!

What is Siouxland Splash? Read on to find out what we know so far about the possible future Siouxland Splash waterpark coming to Sioux City! I'll continue to update this post the project approaches completion.

On Monday, December 18th, 2023 the city council of Sioux City approved the sale of land to an LLC called "Frontline" whose stated intention for the land is to build a waterpark tentatively named "Siouxland Splash."  The planned site is at 3820 Highway 75 North, which is along highway 75 on the north side of Sioux City (almost to Hinton) near the Ickey Nickel bar.

And in January 2024, a more detailed plan was presented (here's more info on that from Siouxland Proud news). Amongst those plans are a lazy river, an area especially for kids, and some tower slides. The owners of Siouxland Splash are working with a Texas based consulting firm named P23, which has extensive experience in waterpark design, to create the plans for Siouxland Splash. The current plans are for 10 acres of waterpark fun, and the tentative completion date for construction would be in late summer of 2025.

I've reached out to P23 to see if there is any additional information they're ready to share, and I'll be sure to update if I do hear back from them.

What features would you want in a water park? Let me know and if I hear from anyone connected with the project, I'll let them know what Siouxland Families are hoping for!

Update: It appears there is already a waterpark in Canton, Texas named "Siouxland Splash." I have not heard any plans to change the name for our Sioux City waterpark, but in light of this, I would not be surprised if it does! I will be sure to update if that happens.

Update February 2/7/25: they announced a tentative opening date of Memorial Day weekend 2025!

Update April 24th, 2025: they announced that the opening date will be pushed back, tentatively to mid or late June 2025.

  1. Hey it would be cool if there was a drop slide where you go inside this thing and it drops you.
