Scooter's Coffee Review: Lucky Charms Latte, Lil Leprechaun Smoothie, & Blueberry Mini Muffins

I love Scooter's Coffee, and I love St. Patrick's Day, so when I heard that Scooter's came out with two new drink flavors to celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2025, I couldn't resist trying them. So, I took my kids to Scooter's after school one day to check out the new Lucky Charm lattes and the Lil Leprechaun smoothies. Here's what we thought:

a collage of photos from Scooter's Coffee provides a background for the post title

Scooter's Lucky Charms drinks

Scooter's new Lucky Charms flavored drinks include marshmallow and vanilla flavors and are topped with colorful Lucky Charms marshmallows. You can choose from a hot or iced latte, a blended drink, or a cold foam.

I tried the Lucky Charms Latte, but subbed in almond milk, and I thought it had good flavor and a good level of sweetness. I could definitely taste the marshmallow and vanilla flavors but also espresso. You can't see the marshmallows in the hot cup unless you take off the lid though, so if you mainly want the Lucky Charms drinks for the cute marshmallow theming, I recommend going for one of the cold versions of the drink. I might have to try one myself on a future visit!

Scooter's Leprechaun drink

Scooter's Leprechaun drink is a white mocha blended ice cream drink with ice, green food coloring, and mint flavoring, topped with whipped cream and Andes Mint chunks. You can also add espresso for no additional charge.

My kids tried the Lil Leprechaun, a small size of the Leprechaun available on the spring 2025 kids menu at Scooter's Coffee. They thought it was delicious, but I'm not sure they will ask for it again. It has a nice level of mint that made it flavorful without being overwhelming. But because it does have that ice blended in, I'm just not sure that it translated into the March minty milkshake of our dreams.

Blueberry Mini Muffins

We also tried the new blueberry mini muffins, which are available as a 2-pack within the Scooter's Kids Combos for spring 2025, or as a 3-pack on their own.

We really enjoyed them. They had great taste and texture, and I love the chunky sugar on top. I do feel like they are a little overpriced, but they are really good so we will get them again anyway. This will probably be our new go-to for anytime we get Scooter's Kids Combos.

Overall, I feel like the St. Patrick's Day drinks from Scooter's are good, but a tiny bit underwhelming, especially compared to how excellent the Scooter's Coffee Christmas 2024 menu was. The muffins though are a big hit with my family, and I'd love to see them make it onto the permanent menu for the Scooter's Coffee Kids Combos (or rotating muffin flavors would be super fun too!)
