It's May! Time for Mother's Day, May baskets, those flowers the April showers are supposed to bring, the end of the school year and tons of other local fun!

Below, find my list of the best things to do in Sioux City and Siouxland in May 2026, from storytimes and crafts to music festivals, streaming concerts, and holidays from silly to serious.

    • Free Fishing and Park Entry Day at Nebraska State Parks

    • 11am: Saturday Class: A Time for Celebration at the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center, for kids in grades K-8, FREE
